Babywearing is a wonderful way to enjoy a day out with your baby, and is an easy way to manage a baby along with other older siblings.
Baby Carriers are perfect for trips out where you don’t want the hassle of a pram or stroller with you: a trip to a museum or Art Gallery, a day out at the zoo, a picnic in the park, or even a trip to Granny’s.
Having baby at your eye level is great for museums and galleries because you are able to enjoy everything together.
I often get told by my friends with newborns that they would love to try a baby carrier or they think a sling looks great and comfy, but they say the beauty of a pram or stroller is that they can put all their baby bits and bobs under it, or often hanging off the handles!
I tell them that they just simply don’t need all of that stuff, the best way to enjoy a stress free trip out with baby is to take less and to give Babywearing a try.

I understand that when you are off out with a newborn it can be so daunting, and you probably want to take EVERYTHING with you incase of emergencies, this is great if you have a Sherpa at your side who is happy to lug about all of your worldly goods! But for those of us without hired help to carry our worldly goods I have produced a little checklist which is ideal for a trip out Babywearing.
I know that however thorough you have thought you have been there is bound to be something you might have forgotten, so why not print out this list or copy it in your diary and check everything off before you head out. You can easily add a couple of your own must haves to it, but remember don’t go overboard, you don’t need to carry loads and loads, a simpler life is a stress free life, so give Babywearing a go and see how much easier and more rewarding a trip out can be for you and your passenger!
